On-Site Shredding Truck at West Adams

Keeping cool in the shade!

Record-breaking weather hit triple digits in Los Angeles Saturday, Sept. 15th and SAFESHRED spent it with members of the West Adams Neighborhood Council while they held their Shred Day. Despite the sweltering sun, residents, business owners, and property owners came out to take advantage of this opportunity.  We were happy to help protect them from identity theft by disposing confidential files with our new on-site shredding truck.  They were also very pleased to remove the clutter out of their homes and businesses.  Other activities included a car wash and e-waste recycling by Waste Management.

This was a drive-through event where attendees dropped off boxes at the truck for shredding.  It made it easy and less grueling in the scorching sun.  Some even chose to view their confidential documents load in the truck and get destroyed through the monitor. A Certificate of Destruction was also provided as proof their sensitive documents were disposed of properly.

We are honored to have participated in this local event and help the West Adams Neighborhood Council make a difference in their community.

Special thanks to the Los Angeles Conservation Corps and the volunteers for their hard work!

It was a very warm and beautiful June 7th, 2012 in Glendale and SAFESHRED was there to shred files for enthusiastic members of the Glendale Association of Realtors.   We learned many real estate agents are left to their own devices when it comes to paper shredding, consequently they were very eager to see their confidential documents destroyed.  We were happy to help.  In fact, the highlight of the day included a “drive-by shredding” where an excited member rolled up in her convertible.  We quickly transferred her files into our locked security bin, shredded the material with our mobile shredding truck, provided her with a Certificate of Destruction and sent her on her way.  She didn’t even step out of her car, and left the parking lot dancing in her car seat.  We were all smiling from ear to ear.

We’d also like to give a big thanks to GAOR. The association was very accommodating, providing staff and guests with chairs and refreshments. They promoted the event and gave ample time for members to respond and make preparations to gather their files.  Providing this service for their members gave them peace of mind and space in their homes and businesses.  The members were so happy to have this opportunity, they were asking us when we would be back!  Not only did we leave with additional ongoing bin service and plan for 2 shred days a year, but we also had the opportunity to help the community think about being mindful and safe with destroying their documents.  We appreciate the opportunity to build this great partnership with the Association.
