Shred Day with the West Adams Community in Los Angeles

Record-breaking weather hit triple digits in Los Angeles Saturday, Sept. 15th and SAFESHRED spent it with members of the West Adams Neighborhood Council while they held their Shred Day. Despite the sweltering sun, residents, business owners, and property owners came out to take advantage of this opportunity.  We were happy to help protect them from identity theft by disposing of confidential files with our new on-site shredding truck.  They were also very pleased to remove the clutter out of their homes and businesses.  Other activities included a car wash and e-waste recycling by Waste Management.

This was a drive-through event where attendees dropped off boxes at the truck for shredding.  It made it easy and less grueling in the scorching sun.  Some even chose to view their confidential documents loaded in the truck and get destroyed through the monitor. A Certificate of Destruction was also provided as proof their sensitive documents were disposed of properly.

We are honored to have participated in this local event and helped the West Adams Neighborhood Council make a difference in their community.

Special thanks to the Los Angeles Conservation Corps and the volunteers for their hard work!
